We went to the bird sanctuary today, and as always enjoyed it. I posted this on the kids blog too, but will post it here because I really liked it.
I have no idea what this flower is, but they were all over and really beautiful and delicate.
And finally, I spotted some Indian Paintbrush there, they are gorgeous and not as prolific as the signs at the sanctuary would have you believe, it took me a while to scope these ones out.
And now my stuff, my sunflowers are getting huge and awesome looking, I can't WAIT for them to bloom!
Along with my snap peas, my yellow beans are ready for the picking too!
And my larkspur bloomed and I love them, they are definitely a keeper, very wispy, cottage-gardeny (I just made up a word). Mixed inbetween is my Jacobs Ladder that should bloom soon as well, anxious to see that!
Other than that, I haven't had much time to enjoy my yard, I have been working a lot, but tomorrow night is my last shift until the following weekend (if I don't get suckered into taking a shift of course). I am trying to concoct how to get to the Heritage Festival after my shifts next weekend...I missed it last year and DON'T want to miss it again! I just hope its not that busy...but it will be worth it anyways!
Oh, and no magic mushrooms at the sanctuary yet darn it, we looked!
